Meet fellow Bellydancers near you in the Delmarva area! Come to a local bellydancing meet-up to share the joy of belly dancing (Raqs Sharqi, Raqs Beledi, or Danse Orientale if you prefer), and learn about costumes, veils, props, shows/haflas, dancers, styles (i.e. American Tribal, Turkish, Egyptian, Folkloric, Fusion, etc.). All bellydance styles are welcome!
What is happening? We have all been working together to generate more interest in this art form through various classes that teach various styles, all of which are held in the Delmarva area (info is available on this site). You too can host a meet up, so just e-mail us and help will be given. This will be a great way to share the love of the dance, exchange ideas, and knowledge. Anyone who shares an interest in the music of the Middle East will benefit from another of our meet-ups wherby a drum circle has met regularly on the month. Henna artists are down here as well. We are dancers of a sisterhood in the entertainment, education, and cultural practices of the Middle East. (This site, Lewes Del. BD/349, was originally begun by Viviana in January of 2008.)
