Hi! I'm Sherri. I've been a dancer for years, but I just started taking belly dancing classes in Raleigh in January 2008. I am very interested in learning more about the dance and culture.
Do you like all forms of ethnic dance, food, culture? Are you looking for people to build friendships with who enjoy this ancient art form? If your answer is yes, this meetup is for YOU..

I enjoy all aspects of ethnic culture. Dance and art are my favorite forms because I think they more directly display the passion and energy of the culture.

Tell us a little something about yourself.......

I live in Raleigh and have two children. I love dance, art, and theatre. I enjoy meeting people of various backgrounds and learning about their culture and experiences.

Are you a teacher, student, performer, or an enthusiastic observer ready to cheer for your fellow dancer?

I have taken dance ever since I can remember. However, I just started my training in bellydancing in January. I love the challenge of learning to move my body in very different ways than previously learned. My instructor is Amara Al Amir.
