Kateri
Kateri enchants audiences with her fluid style and dramatic personality as she performs professionally in the DC/MD/VA areas. She is also known for her talents as an actor and musician--skills which augment her dance performances. She will be appearing in Theatre Hopkins' production of Mary Zimmerman's The Arabian Nights at the Swirnow Theatre with performances June 13th-29th. The ancient tales of Scheherazade adorn the stage with sensual pleasures.
Thalia has been dancing for 4 years under the direction of several fabulous instructors, one of her first being Amina Salah. She studies under the direction of Lotus Niraja and had the honor or performing with the NDC. She has stepped away from dancing the restaurant scene, to focus on performing in shows like this for you today.
Mila
is a member of Sahara Dance?s Raqs Caravan West Student Company in Washington, DC and the newly formed Tananeen Tribal in Baltimore. She has been studying Middle Eastern dance for 4 years. Mila has also studied salsa for the last 6 years and currently performs with SAOCO Districto Casineros, a Casino Style Salsa performance group also in DC. This piece hopes to fuse the flavor of salsa with the joy of belly dance to create something truly ?Sabrosa.? Mila would like to thank all her belly dance and salsa teachers along the way that inspired and guided her. This is her first solo performance at the All Seasons Hafla.

Shems
An award winning, professional performer with over a decade of experience, Shems is known for her technique, musicality and expressive performances. Shems specializes in Arabic styles of belly dance and folkloric dances. As an instructor, Shems makes it her personal goal to help each student reach her or his personal best. Current inspirations include her most recent instructor helping her break into Turkish style, Artemis, her fellow dance friends and as always the many wonderful stars of Egyptian, Lebanese, Turkish and Vintage Oriental belly dance.

Nina Amaya
Nina Amaya is the hostess of the hafla, and also a local dancer and director of the student troupe, Belly Dance Delight. She learned so much from Amina Salah and thanks Amina for her friendship, instruction and insight into the dance. She would also like to thank Shems, Samira and Atef for their more recent help in technique and line.
Galena
Galena has been dancing her whole life, but didn?t begin her journey into the world of belly dance until 2004. She specializes in cabaret style drum solos and veil. She loves incorporating aspects from her previous dance life into belly dance to create her own personal form of fusion belly dance. She studies with Latifa and is a member of Sestraluna.
Damiena
Damiena is an Egyptian style belly dancer who began studying
Middle Eastern dance in 2004, as a way to help cope with
a family member's illness. She quickly fell in love with the music
and the movements and is still enchanted with them 4 years later.
She studied with Amina Salah several years ago, has studied
with Latifa for several years and has recently also started
taking classes with Yasmin. You can find Damiena at many local
venues, including Cazbar on Charles Street and Three Kings of Egypt
in Federal Hill.
Amina Salah, Boulder, CO
Amina Salah has been studying Middle Eastern Dance for 15 years. Her focus on Egyptian style has taken her on many trips to Egypt. She has extensive training with zills and studies Arabic and Yoga. Her Egyptian Cabaret classes enhance technique and expression.
( Amina taught here and caused quite a sensation- she is the sweetest woman, with impeccable musicality and style.) Rare treat!
