2 Hour Turkish Romani Intensive with Reyhan Tuzsuz
Location TBA
Cost: $40
Turkish Romani Dance is highly expressive utilizing subtle movements and gestures. From a young age, Reyhan had a gift for interpreting and stylizing to Turkish Romani music. She has learned to dance the natural "Roman" way; through watching at weddings and events, and listening to the music. She is totally improvisational; a natural technician and artist of the dance. She works with some of the world's best known Middle Eastern and Central Asian dance enthusiasts and has taught at most of the Turkish Dance camps in Turkey. Last year's festival marked the very first time Reyhan had performed and taught in the United States. We loved her so much, we're bringing her back!
Note: Reyhan teaches in a lead-follow format and speaks little English. Kostana & Jessaiah will assist in interpretation.

You don't want to miss this one! Reyhan is the REAL DEAL! And all money from this event after studio rental goes directly to her to help her find a new home. The Roma in her neighborhood are being forced to move by Turkish Government! You can help in a very real way and study with an amazing lady at the same time!

Who attended?

    •  Every time I study with this exceptional Romani lady, she amazes me with new subtleties in her dance. So many were "wow-ed" by her performance on Saturday. If you missed this, you missed an exceptional opportunity to study REAL TRUE Turkish Romani "Gypsy" dance with one of the best!
