About Washington Metro Area Bellydance Meetup Group
This meetup is for anyone learning, performing or teaching bellydance in the DC metro area. We welcome all styles: Tribal, Oriental: Turkish, Egyptian, Lebanese, Romani and ethnic folkdancers, and of course musicians as well.
You can find out about events, workshops and happenings of interest around the area here.
As Creative Director for a local nonprofit, The World Music Folklife Center, I also hope to offer resources to the community in terms of educational workshops and opportunities to dance and perform with live music. We welcome ideas and input of what you would like to see us offer to continue to uplift & support this beautiful artform in the public eye.
